Nope! Blockchain and the world of Web3 has applications in every corner of society, so anyone with an interest in blockchain, defi, web3, and any related field is welcome to join!

This Spring '23 quarter, Blockchain @ UCSB will be hosting a lecture series every Wednesday starting April 12th. The lecture series comprises of 10 lectures and certification upon completion. For more information, visit our Discord server.

The "Blockchain Fundamentals" series will only be the first of many we will create! We are in the process of creating multiple lecture series that will begin in the 23-24 school year: technical (code on the blockchain), economic (cryptocurrencies), and legal (regulating Web3). And don't forget about the industry speakers we'll be inviting who will talk about their experiences navigating the meteorically-rising world of Web3.

Yes! We have a few ideas in store that we can collectively work on as a club, and we will be introducing them in the fall of the 23-24 school year. If you have any ideas, feel free to post them in the #ideas channel. We will aim to host a blockchain/Web3 hackathon in the near future, so don't forget your ideas!
